Bora

Pattern collection for jacquard woven textiles.

The collection of patterns was created under the project assignment The Cow, the Farmhand and Sauerkraut, during which we researched our local environment and chose the theme that inspired us the most. Coming from the Vipava Valley, the valley of the Bora wind, this led me to research the weather phenomenon. I was inspired by the change of colors that occurs in the landscape when the wind blows through the branches of the trees and the reveals the other, silver side of the foliage. The final product was a jacquard woven fabric depicting one of the patterns (dimensions: 50 x 90 cm).

The product was created as a project assignment in the course Textile Design 2 under the mentorship of prof. Katja Burger Kovič and assist. Arijana Gadžijev at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana.
