The textile installation consists of images of the environment from which my grandmother’s story originates. Images from the Borovčje plateau represent a strong connection between the inhabitants of the village at the time and the surrounding natural environment. With the typical appearance of the Vipava valley, its colors and atmosphere, it represents everything that is anchored in me as an image of home. In addition to the feeling of attachment to the landscape, it carries many stories that my grandmother told me, and thus my belonging to this place increases even more. In this place, I feel a connection with my ancestors and family, whose characters very much reflect the characteristics of the landscape, from the ruggedness of the surface to the temperament of the Bora wind.

The product was created as a project assignment in the course Textile design 3 under the mentorship of prof. Katja Burger Kovič and prof. Marija Jenko.
