Collection of 3D-printed jewelry.
Steve Axford is a photographer who specializes in nature photography,
especially mushroom macro photography. His photograph of an unnamed mushroom belonging to the species Schizophyllum commune inspired the collection of 3D-printed jewelry.
The designs are inspired by the texture and wavy shape of the mushroom, giving the metal jewelry an organic impression. By looking for inspiration in mushrooms, I wanted to present surprising forms from nature and at the same time the interesting, unexplored and mysterious life of the fungal kingdom.
The product was created as a project assignment in the course Digital design 4b under the mentorship of prof. Karin Košak and assist. dr. Tanja Nuša Kočevar.
